Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how TORIIE, LLC ("TORIIE," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use TORIIE, including our website, organizer and administrative tools, live scoring, live boards, round setup, golf games, team events, round summaries, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
TORIIE is a golf scoring and game-calculation application. TORIIE does not collect, hold, transfer, or process funds between players. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Account and organizer information. We may collect your name, email address, authentication identifiers, account status, role, permissions, and information needed to provide access to TORIIE.
Player and golf information. We may process player names, handicap information, playing or course handicaps, external handicap identifiers when provided, course and tee information, groups, teams, round dates and times, round codes, game selections and settings, scores, hole-by-hole results, leaderboards, game results, round summaries, settlement calculations, and round history.
Handicap-service information. If a user chooses to connect or use a supported handicap service, TORIIE may use an identifier and retrieve handicap-related information from that service. TORIIE may retain the most recently retrieved handicap information and its effective date so it can be used in round setup and historical round records.
Support information. If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, message, screenshots, files, device information, round code or other details you choose to provide so we can investigate and respond.
Device, session, and technical information. TORIIE and its service providers may process browser type, device type, operating system, IP address, user-agent information, timestamps, authentication activity, error information, logs, and similar technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
TORIIE uses browser storage and similar technologies to support features such as session persistence, round-code access, scorer or viewer state, offline scoring and synchronization, user preferences, and acknowledgement of legal terms. Information stored locally may remain on a device until it expires, is cleared by TORIIE, or is removed through browser or device controls.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate users; create and manage rounds; maintain player and course libraries; calculate handicaps, scoring, games, standings, and round results; provide live scoring and viewing; preserve round history; support offline and reconnect behavior; provide support; secure the Service; diagnose errors; prevent misuse; improve reliability; enforce our Terms; and comply with applicable law.
TORIIE may calculate amounts, points, game results, or settlement information from golf scores and game settings. These are informational scoring and calculation features only. TORIIE does not collect, hold, transfer, or process funds between players. Any settlement between players occurs independently of TORIIE.
4. Live Rounds, Round Codes, and Shared Information
TORIIE uses access or viewer codes so authorized players, scorers, and viewers can participate in or follow a round. A person with a valid code may be able to see information associated with that round, including player names, groups, handicap or stroke information, scores, standings, game results, and round summaries. Users should share round codes only with people who should have access.
5. Advertising and Measurement
Some versions of TORIIE may display advertising or promotional creative. TORIIE may record limited delivery and interaction data, such as an impression, view, or click, in order to measure whether a creative was displayed and provide aggregate reporting. TORIIE does not sell personal information and does not provide advertisers with player names, scores, handicaps, or round results for advertising purposes.
6. Service Providers
TORIIE uses third-party service providers to operate the Service. These may include cloud hosting, database, authentication, email, application hosting, error logging, and app-distribution providers. For example, TORIIE uses Google Firebase services for application data and authentication and Netlify for web hosting and related infrastructure. These providers may process technical and account information as necessary to provide their services to TORIIE.
Firebase states that Firebase customers generally act as the controller/business for end-user data and Google generally acts as a processor/service provider. Firebase Authentication may process information such as email addresses, user agents, and IP addresses for authentication and security. Netlify may process device, IP, usage, and service data in connection with hosting and operating web services.
7. Data Sharing
We may disclose information to service providers that process information on our behalf; to people authorized to access a particular round; when directed by the user or organizer; when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; to protect TORIIE, our users, or others; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share player names, scores, handicaps, or round results with advertisers for their own advertising use.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain legitimate round and competition history, resolve disputes, meet accounting or legal obligations, and support recovery or audit needs. Different information may be retained for different periods.
Completed round records, including player names, scores, results, and related history, may be retained as part of the historical record even if a reusable player entry is later edited or removed. Operational session data, temporary access information, synchronization diagnostics, and similar transient information may be retained for shorter periods. Service-provider logs and backups may remain for limited periods according to the provider's normal retention and backup processes.
9. Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you by contacting admin@toriie.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Deletion requests may not require TORIIE to erase information that must reasonably be retained for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or the integrity of legitimate historical round or competition records. Where appropriate, reusable account or profile information may be removed while historical competition records are preserved.
10. Security
TORIIE uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections, authentication, role- and rules-based access controls, and restricted administrative access. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their devices, account credentials, and round codes.
11. International Processing
TORIIE is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate. Firebase notes that Firebase Authentication is operated from U.S. data centers, while other Firebase services may use global Google infrastructure.
12. Children
TORIIE is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to TORIIE, contact us so we can review the matter.
13. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights concerning your personal information, such as rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain disclosures. You may submit a privacy request using the contact information below. TORIIE does not sell personal information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as TORIIE changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
